Applegreen completes sale of UK petrol forecourt and fuel cards business
EG On The Move has closed its acquisition of the Applegreen UK petrol forecourt and fuel card business, powering plans to create a fuel retail “powerhouse”.

EG On The Move now owns and operates 151 petrol forecourt locations and 209 foodservice concessions
The deal covers 98 sites with around 40 foodservice concessions and means EG On The Move now owns and operates a total of 151 petrol forecourt station locations and a further 209 foodservice concessions. The deal includes around 40 locations offering customers access to 200+ fast EV charging ports.
The transaction also includes the Applegreen fuel card business, which will further enable EG On The Move to strengthen its position in providing tailored fuel solutions to commercial and fleet customers whilst leveraging the synergies of its existing network.
EG On The Move said the move reinforces its commitment to expanding its national footprint across the UK.
The business will invest in the Applegreen UK sites to offer improved welfare, fuel retail and non-fuel retail in terms of foodservice, grocery and merchandise.
It will also accelerate investments in fast electric vehicle charging infrastructure and sustainable operations.

“We have a strong pipeline of new MSAs to develop, and recently opened our new £55m state-of-the-art location at junction 33 of the M1 at Rotherham.”
