On sale now, the Junior Ibrida is priced from £27,895, shaving off £6k compared to the entry-level 156hp Junior Elettrica model and nearly £15k off the performance 280hp Veloce version, while making it the brand’s lowest-priced model.

The mild hybrid powertrain is already widely used across other Stellantis group brands, including the new Vauxhall Frontera and latest Citroën C4 and C4 X, and teams up a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 48V lithium-ion battery and a 21kW electric motor integrated into a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The mild hybrid set-up delivers efficiency benefits, including in urban driving where it can operate in electric-only mode at low speeds or under light load, while also aiding performance.

Design features include a Leggenda Scudetto design grille that evokes the brand’s history, along with 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps and gloss black mirror covers. The interior comes with black/blue upholstery and eight-colour ambient lighting.

Equipment includes rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, keyless go, a pair of 10.25-inch displays for driver dials and multi-media, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and Alfa Romeo connected services. Standard safety systems include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and eCall.

Orders for Junior Ibrida open later this month, with first customer deliveries expected in Q2.
