The closed sale was attended by more than half of the entire Skoda network and the strength of the attendance created some fierce bidding on the 163 cars offered. The auction achieved a 100% conversion rate, with an overall performance against CAP of 108%. Diesel variants of the Superb Estate, which were all 10 plates, sold for an average 93% RRP.

Paul Grimsley, national rental and used car manager for Skoda UK, commented: 'The Superb Estate caps an excellent year of used car launches for the brand. The values achieved represent the strongest auction debut we have ever seen for a Skoda model. Along with Yeti, which has maintained very strong resale values since its launch in February, the entire Skoda range represents a compelling residual value proposition.'

James Leese, Manheim's sales director for manufacturer remarketing, added: 'We're very pleased with the results achieved for Skoda at its launch of the Superb Estate. The high attendance and 100% conversion rate proves that the unique range of facilities that Bruntingthorpe offers are a powerful draw for buyers and can play a vital role in the success of any manufacturer's remarketing programme.'
