Zap-Map launches peer-to-peer chargepoint sharing

By / 6 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Zap-Map is enabling businesses with workplace charging points to open them up to other drivers, via a new peer-to-peer sharing service, augmenting publicly-accessible networks.

Workplace Charging

Zap-Work enables businesses to share their charging points with other drivers.

The launch of Zap-Work follows a survey which showed 31% of businesses would be willing to make their charging points available to other drivers.

This will run alongside Zap-Home, offering similar access to domestic charging points, with 48% of owners saying they would be happy to join the service.

There are no membership fees required to access the units, which appear under their own dedicated filter on the Zap-Map website and smartphone app.

Drivers are requested to contact the owner beforehand to arrange payment, if applicable, via PayPal, and operators can choose when to make the units available.
