Waze now compatible with Apple CarPlay

Navigation app Waze is now compatible with Apple CarPlay in the new iOS 12 update, joining its long term availability on Google’s Android Auto.

Waze announced the move in a tweet

The makers of the crowd-sourced app announced the move in a recent tweet and said the app would now be available to use on 400+ car models worldwide.

Its introduction means users will be able to warn others of hazards along the road with just a couple of taps of the screen, and receive live data showing average speeds on road sections. Waze operates on this ‘community’ of drivers and is said to save drivers time by being able to re-navigate drivers more accurately thanks to using the most up-to-date traffic information.

The announcement comes just days after Google Maps support was added to Apple CarPlay.
