Waste management firm awards Ctrack with three-year contract to enhance commercial fleet

By / 12 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Under the agreement, the company will adopt the web-based Ctrack Online solution to enhance operational performance by increasing fleet productivity and reducing fuel consumption.

The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process involving a number of leading tracking providers. Ctrack was able to demonstrate high levels of expertise within the waste management and recycling marketplace, whilst creating a solution that was cost-effective and offered rapid return on investment.

The skip loaders operate from McCarthy Waste Management’s transfer station and recycling centre in St Philips, Bristol. The vehicle tracking system will provide added visibility and control over the collection and delivery of skips throughout the southwest region in order to increase the number of jobs achieved each day. The company will also monitor routes and driving behaviour to identify potential efficiencies in terms of reduced mileage and improved fuel efficiency.

Kevin McCarthy, managing director at McCarthy Waste Management, commented: ‘We recognised that vehicle tracking would provide an effective means of reducing overheads, increasing productivity and enhancing the service we provide our customers. The Ctrack Online system will give us considerable transparency over our mobile resources to boost performance and ultimately contribute to our bottom line.’

Mark Naldrett, Sales director of Ctrack, said: ‘Increasingly, businesses are looking to find new ways of streamlining their businesses and making their assets work harder. Our vehicle tracking solutions offer effective means of achieving measurable fleet improvements by helping companies overcome their business and operational challenges.’
