Volvo scoops Experteye fleet award

The awards are a result of a bi-annual survey conducted by Experteye and is seen as a key industry indicator by both the manufacturer and contract hire industry. By gathering key management feedback from senior decision-makers from 35 leasing companies about the quality of products, services and support they receive from the vehicle manufacturers it is a highly accurate and current reflection of fleet sector opinion.

Selwyn Cooper, head of business sales at Volvo Car UK, accepted the honour at the awards lunch held in London on Thursday 5 March.

Cooper commented: “I’d like to thank Experteye and all those that took part in the survey for recognising the effort that Volvo has invested in the corporate segment, with fantastic initiatives that have been put in place to help assist fleet operators and those with fleet responsibilities. We have a great team working to make it less stressful for everyone concerned, from fleet managers to individuals, giving the best possible advice and deals for anyone considering a Volvo as a company car.”

“This is a tremendous win for Volvo because the effort and investment made in driving forward their fleet proposition is clearly being recognised by senior decision makers across the sector,” said Rick Yarrow, managing director of Experteye. “All results are based on independent feedback we receive from the major leasing companies, making Volvo deserved winners of the most improved fleet manufacturer for 2015.”

The award follows Volvo’s 2014 launch of its new Volvo Car Business Centre (VCBC), which offers on-call tailored advice from a dedicated expert support team.

Also launched during 2014 was a scheme designed to help reduce risks and costs for fleets, called Co-Pilot. The scheme was developed in conjunction with Volvo’s driver risk consultancy partner, Fleet21 and is a free of charge support package for every company buying or leasing its first Volvo.
