Volvo enters online car sales arena

Volvo has launched a new online car buying service that can enable customers to buy a new Volvo entirely over the internet in as little as 20 minutes.

Volvo’s new online new car buying service

Live from today, the new service is said to be the most comprehensive in the UK and provides a fully-online service covering everything from car configuration to part-exchange and finance agreement signature.

It also covers all forms of purchase, including PCP, PCH – which launches in the coming weeks, conditional sale and cash, and providing transparent details of monthly finance cost while taking care of security with checks at key points.

Customers are able to tailor their ideal Volvo, including all options and accessories, with the configurator tool initially available with the XC40 SUV and rolling out to other models by 3 May.

The service will also ensure the involvement of the local dealer, who will manage the process and help users to choose the right car and finance package.

Jon Wakefield, Volvo Car UK managing director, said: “Whether online or offline, the way people buy cars has changed. Customers now have much more control over the process, and Volvo Online helps them to take that one step further.

“It makes life as easy as possible without compromising on choice or security, and lets customers drive the purchase process when it’s most convenient for them.”
