Volvo adds R-Design model to V60 range
Volvo has extended the V60 estate line-up with a new R-Design variant, bringing sportier styling and more dynamic handling.
Predicted to be the best-selling trim, the R-Design is priced from £35,410 with a higher-spec R-Design Pro version from £37,660.
The main mechanical change is new sports-tuned suspension with stiffer spring rates, faster-responding monotube dampers, thicker anti-roll bars and a 12mm lower ride height. T
Styling changes see the addition of high-gloss black exterior trim elements plus 18-inch alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish. LED front foglights and front parking sensors alongside the standard rear ones. Inside, the R-Design gets part-leather sports seats, black headlining, sports pedals and a sports leather steering wheel and gear lever.
Equipment additions include front and rear parking sensors, City Safety autonomous emergency braking and Volvo’s Sensus connectivity system all as standard.
R-Design Pro versions build on this with standard specification including head-up display, Keyless Drive and hands-free tailgate operation.
Both variants are offered with all current V60 powertrains, comprising the 148bhp D3 and 187bhp D4 diesels and the 247bhp T5 petrol
The R-Design and R-Design Pro are available to order now, with first UK customer deliveries from late 2018.
