Volkswagen to axe Phaeton & introduce 2017 replacement
As reported by Autocar and Autoexpress, a VW spokesperson said that the Phaeton "in its current form" has been axed, primarily as it does not meet Euro 6 emissions legislation. The model has already exited from the US but remains popular in markets such as China.
However, a replacement model is already being planned and is due from around 2017.
