Volkswagen Financial Services – Fleet announces new management appointments

Chris Allgood has been appointed as the new strategic account manager. He will be supporting the national corporate sales team and will be focusing on the management, retention, and development of large corporate fleets, typically of 500+ vehicles.

VWFS – Fleet has also appointed Melanie Miles as the new brand relationship manager in a move to promote its ability to source and fund vehicles from both Volkswagen Group brands and all other manufacturers.

Miles will work collaboratively not only with Volkswagen brands but with other OEMs and help the market understand the value of the full mix of products and services offered by VWFS – Fleet. She brings 10 years’ experience working within the Volkswagen Group and was previously at Lex Autolease and LeasePlan.

Commenting on the appointments, Iker Lazzari, head of sales and marketing, said: “I am thrilled to further enhance the team with the appointments of Melanie and Chris who both hold a wealth of knowledge, experience and determination.

“Core to our offering is understanding our customer, both in using our data to talk to our customers in the right digital channels but also developing strong personal relationships with them. We are already recognised as an expert in fleet finance and as a reliable and knowledgeable vehicle supplier – however we want to demonstrate how we can add value to fleet procurement and management, as well as prove our excellent customer service.”

Ian Tilbrook, fleet director, added: “This is an exciting time for VWFS – Fleet, we have already been re-appointed as an approved supplier on the Crown Commercial Services framework, and with these appointments we have the expertise to drive the business further forward.

“Working closely with the full range of manufacturers will help our fleet customers get what they need for their unique circumstances. We also need to work closely with our customer base to show they can trust us with sourcing across different brands when it’s the right solution for them.”
