Taking place on Wednesday 24th April 2013 at Silverstone, UK, the event builds on the success of the 2012 show and combines a seminar programme, test driving on the Grand Prix and Stowe circuits, plus an indoor exhibition area.

Highlights include:

Ride & Drive

This will offer test-driving of the latest new cars on both public roads and the tracks, with the full Grand Prix circuit as well as the Stowe circuit available.

Conference & seminar programme:

Leading fleet industry speakers will conduct seminars and conference sessions, providing up-to-date information on the latest technology and processes in all areas of the fleet market.

Speakers include Paul Nieuwenhuis from the Centre for Automotive Industry Research who will report back on the key findings of the ENEVATE (European Network of electric Vehicles and Transferring Expertise) project.

The seminar will also include speakers from CENEX who will explain how some of the technology they are currently testing will impact on fleets in the years to come.

And Professor Kevin Kendall from the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research will explain how fuel cell hybrids are poised to play a key role in the development of low-emission fleet mobility.

There will also be a “Question Time” style panel discussion and an interactive Mobility Workshop for fleet executives.

Exhibition Area

The extensive Silverstone Wing indoor exhibition area will accommodate a greater number of fleet service suppliers and providers.

Fleet Driver of the Year competition

The final of this prestigious event will be held at the Fleet Show, following an extensive process using the latest technology to test competitors on their driving skills.

Commenting on what the event has to offer attendees, organiser Ross Durkin said: ‘Our aim is to provide visitors with a number of very good reasons for taking a day out to visit the show. The seminar programme and the debating session that followed it we really well attended this year – testament that fleet decision-makers will take time out if the quality of the presentations is high enough. The track driving sessions will allow visitors to experience what is available on the market today. The seminars will give them an idea of what they might be driving tomorrow.’
