VisionTrack targets growth under new European sales director

Vehicle camera and video telematics specialist VisionTrack has appointed Vernon Bonser as European sales director as it looks to expand further in the UK and mainland Europe.

Vernon Bonser, European sales director at VisionTrack

The newly created role will see Bonser draw on more than 20 years of experience within the telematics sector to develop an infrastructure to target both direct and indirect sales. This will include the creation of a network of European channel partners from within the fleet, vehicle tracking and insurance sectors. He will also work closely with existing and potential customers who are looking for advanced connected vehicle camera solutions.

Bonser joins the company from TomTom Telematics where he has spent the past eight years working in a number of senior sales roles, most recently as head of corporate business UK and ROI. Prior to joining TomTom Telematics, he held business development positions at Cybit, DA Systems, Bluecom Group and Tracker Networks.

Commenting on his appointment, Vernon Bonser said: “Connected vehicle camera solutions are transforming the fleet telematics marketplace, so I am excited to be joining the industry leader within this rapidly developing field. There is huge potential for video telematics, especially within mainland Europe, as recognition grows about the safety and financial benefits the technology can provide. I will use my current experience and relationships to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist.”

Simon Marsh, managing director of VisionTrack, added: “We are committed to building on our continued growth and industry-leading position by attracting the best people to the business. Vernon brings an in-depth understanding of how to leverage technology to yield the greatest returns for our clients and partners. This expertise combined with his comprehensive knowledge of international business best practice means he will be a valuable addition to our senior team and play an important part in our success moving forward.”
