VIP Data: Used LCV market to be slowed in January

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Corsa and Fiesta vans are sought after and will make Trade Values with ease. Berlingo, and its sister van Partner, are plentiful and there is retail demand for these. The better specification variants are selling faster, but there are still a few buyers looking for standard models. Caddy is still a firm favourite, especially with the higher output engines. That said, even the 69 PS models are finding homes as people look for fuel savings. Transit Connect in any colour are still creating plenty of interest.

Scudo is proving ever popular and mixed colours with a bit of specification get snapped up straight away. Although this is a funny-sized van in the market, the few we have are finding buyers. Hi-Ace vans, if late and low mileage in a nice colour, will achieve Ready to Retail prices. Vito is very colour sensitive and rough high mileage examples struggle.

Larger vans are around in numbers at the moment and as such we have reduced the values on all Sprinters by 2.5% this month as buyers are looking seriously at the cheaper Crafter. Especially the long wheelbase models if they are Ready to Retail.

The 4×4 Marketplace usually thrives at this time of year, but we have so many in the marketplace all year round that the weather isn’t really making any difference to values. We did see towards the back end of December that older good value for money 4x4s were getting interest on the off chance that the snow came. This month values remain steady with only the examples above seeing any real change.
