Venson to provide safety kits in all new vehicles

Venson Automotive Solutions is to fit all newly supplied company cars and light commercial vehicles with safety kits from VGroup International.

Over 100 contract hire/leasing firms and brokers across the UK equip vehicles with safety kits provided by VGroup International

Accessories were previously supplied by another organisation and Gil Kelly, operations director, Venson Automotive Solutions, said: “We see the provision of safety kits in all our vehicles as an important element of occupational road risk management.

“It is important to ensure that drivers have all the tools they need to help maintain their vehicles in the best possible condition such as tyre pressure and tread depth gauges.

“Additionally, in the event of an incident involving themselves or another road user it is important drivers have equipment to help ensure safety at the roadside such as a warning triangle and hi-vis vest.”

Venson Automotive Solutions, which has signed a three-year supply contract, is now among more than 100 contract hire and leasing companies and brokers across the UK equipping vehicles with safety kits provided by vGroup International.

Earlier this year VGroup International launched a campaign calling on daily rental companies to follow suit.

Chairman Martyn Nash said: “We have had positive meetings with a number of businesses. The discussions show they are receptive to our stance. They understand our view that corporate customers expect kits comprising roadside assistance and motoring first aid essentials to be in all cars driven by employees irrespective of the provider.

“We hope to announce new business wins with a number of daily rental companies in the near future.”
