Vauxhall gives Ultimate treatment to Grandland X and Astra hatch

Vauxhall has added a top-of-the-range Ultimate trim to its Grandland X SUV and Astra hatch.

Priced at £34,040 OTR for the Grandland X, the Ultimate trim is available solely with the 174bhp 2.0-litre turbo diesel and eight-speed automatic. Features included on the Ultimate trim include 360-degree Panoramic Camera, adaptive cruise control, wireless mobile phone charging and Denon premium sound system along with heated windscreen/steering wheel/rear seats and LED Adaptive Forward Lighting Pack with projector headlights.

The Astra Hatch Ultimate is offered with the 148bhp 1.4 turbo petrol engine – with both manual and automatic transmission – as well as the 197bhp 1.6 turbo manual petrol engine and the 158bhp 1.6 Bi-Turbo manual diesel engine.

The new trim builds on the Elite Nav models, adding 18-inch bi-colour alloy wheels, LED Matrix headlights, Navi 900 IntelliLink Sat Nav system and the Driving Assistance Pack featuring the intelligent forward camera system, used for systems including forward collision alert, traffic sign recognition, following distance indicator and lane departure warning with lane assist. The Ultimate trim also includes the Parking Pack, which comes with advanced park assist, rear view camera and side blind spot alert. Ultimate models also get interior trim boots.

Prices for the Astra Hatch Ultimate start from £24,935 OTR.
