Vauxhall announces pricing for Vivaro-e Life electric MPV

Vauxhall’s Vivaro-e Life electric MPV is now on sale, offering seating for up to nine, an official 143-mile range and the ability to travel in Clean Air Zones free of charge.

The Vivaro-e Life is on sale now

Launched hot on the heels of the Vivaro-e electric van, it’s offered in just one length, priced from £34,645 after the Plug-in Van Grant for the entry Edition model while the Elite is priced from £46,415. The Edition model can seat up to nine passengers while the Elite version uses a six-seat layout.

Based the same Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2) as its diesel siblings, the Vivaro-e Life is powered by a 136hp electric motor with 260Nm of torque, giving a 0-62mph time in 13.1 seconds. It carries over just the 50kWh lithium-ion battery – the van also offers a 75kWh pack – which is covered by an eight-year/100,000 mile warranty. A single-phase 7.4kW onboard charger is fitted as standard, with a three-phase 11kW design also available.

The 50kWh lithium-ion battery supports CCS rapid charging at up to 100kW, with an 80% charge taking just 30 minutes, while a single-phase 32A domestic wallbox will fully charge the Vivaro-e Life in 7.5 hours. Drivers can also use the ‘MyVauxhall’ app to enable remote control of charging and cabin temperature pre-conditioning.

Three driving modes are offered – Eco, Normal and Power – and two levels of regenerative braking. A ‘D’ setting provides brake feel close to conventional petrol or diesel model, while ‘B’ delivers increased deceleration and greater energy regeneration.

The Elite model comes with Lounge trim as standard and includes massage function and electric heating for the front seats, with four movable leather chairs behind to allow passengers to sit facing each.

Onboard equipment include availability of the Multimedia and Multimedia Navi touchscreen infotainment systems – which both feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
