Vauxhall adds high-spec Corsa, Astra and Grandland X Griffin Editions

Vauxhall has extended the Corsa, Astra and Grandland X vehicle ranges with the addition of new Griffin Edition models.

Already seen in the brand’s van range, the Griffin Edition models arrive among the car line-up following Vauxhall’s adoption of a new Griffin logo last year, and are focused on high value and specification.

The new Corsa Griffin Edition is priced from £18,530 and comes as standard with 17-inch bi-colour alloy wheels, a black roof and spoiler, LED headlights and daytime running lights as well as automatic lights and windscreen wipers. Interior updates include heated seats and steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a 7-inch digital instrument panel and Griffin branded floor mats.

Engine line-up includes 75hp 1.2-litre and 100hp 1.2-litre turbo petrols, the former with a five-speed manual gearbox and a choice of six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox on the latter. Also available is an 120hp 1.5-litre turbo diesel with 107g/km.

The new Astra Griffin Edition is available in both hatchback and estate bodystyles and starts from £19,245. It features 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a contrasting gloss black finish for the roof and door mirrors, plus dark tinted rear windows with chrome surrounds. It also gets Griffin-branded floor mats, multimedia satellite navigation system with a 7-inch colour touchscreen, dual zone climate control and heated front seats and steering wheel. All models also come with front and rear parking sensors and a Driving Assistance Pack with forward collision alert, lane keep assist and automatic emergency braking.

Engines cover a 145hp turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol and a 122hp 1.5-litre diesel, both with six-speed manual gearbox and an optional nine-speed automatic transmission on the diesel. Emissions start from 115g/km.

The Grandland X Griffin Edition starts from £25,765 and, like the Astra, comes with 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and gloss black paint on the roof and door mirrors, while the rear windows get dark tinted glass, and there’s silver-effect exterior upgrades.

Standard equipment includes a Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and satellite navigation system, plus keyless entry and start, dual zone climate control and Griffin-embossed floor mats.

There’s a choice of two engines – a 130hp 1.2-litre petrol or a 130hp 1.5-litre diesel. Both are turbos, fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with an eight-speed automatic transmission available as an option. Emissions start from 130g/km.
