Update to BCA app increases buyer options
BCA has updated its Buyer app with a new Bid Now feature that enables customers to place bids on BCA’s Bid Now online auction platform.
The app is used by some 14,000 unique users and the update, part of a programme of regular enhancements to the tool, enables them to now bid or buy in all of BCA’s online channels via the BCA Buyer app – real-time Online Auctions, Buy Now fixed price sales and Bid Now fixed time auctions.
Dene Jones, chief marketing and data officer, said: “The BCA Buyer app is a valuable and integral channel for our customers to acquire stock safely and efficiently and usage has risen steadily during the lockdown period.”
Earlier this month, BCA announced that used car values at its auctions rose 75.7% in June compared to April. The firm – which switched to online-only sales on 25 March – says demand across most sectors is ahead of what we would typically see at this time of year and has expanded its online remarketing programme significantly to meet the demand.
