Tusker team takes on Tough Mudder to raise money for cancer charity

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Led by chief executive, David Hosking, the 20-strong team of Tusker participants includes all the senior management team; chief operating officer, Mark Sinclair, chief financial officer, David Brockwell, business development director, Alison Argall and account development director, Veronica Steele.

With financial backing from friends and suppliers, the Tusker team will tackle the Tough Mudder event organised for 4th May in Northamptonshire.  All monies raised will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust whose mission is to raise funds, educate, and support teenagers fighting cancer.

Billed as “probably the toughest event on the planet”, Tough Mudder challenges participants to tackle a 12 mile-long obstacle course designed by the Special Forces to test all-round strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie.

Those willing to take the plunge face freezing cold ice baths, 12ft walls, a mud mile, an electric shock field and other “challenges”. Tough Mudder events have attracted over 700,000 participants around the world to date.

‘We wanted a challenge that encouraged a team ethos, determined team participation and a strong team spirit while raising money for a very worthy cause – and Tough Mudder certainly fits the bill!’ said David Hosking.

‘We will not be able to complete the course unless we all pull together and work as one – and that’s certainly a lesson we can take into our business lives,’ he added.
