The SS4C scheme will deliver substantial cost savings to the Trust, and is available for all permanently contracted employees. A carbon cap of 150g/km for new cars has been set in line with the Trust’s policy of carbon reduction and sustainability. However, cars with substantially lower carbon emissions are likely to be ordered through the scheme as the average emission levels of all cars on the CPC Drive platform has now fallen to just 110g/km. 

The new car scheme provides employees with the opportunity to have a brand new car with no deposit or credit check, and affords access to a full range of additional features, including fully comprehensive motor insurance, maintenance, servicing, replacement tyres, Road Fund Licence and European breakdown assistance.

The scheme is being provided through NHS CPC Drive, the health service fleet management offering which provides NHS Trusts with a range of fleet management services, including cost effective car leasing, salary sacrifice cars, the management of grey fleet vehicles and expenses management.

The Warrington and Halton Hospitals scheme is delivered through Tusker’s award winning SS4C automated, electronic salary sacrifice car solution, which staff find simple to operate through a bespoke website. The salary sacrifice dedicated customer service team are also on hand to further support the offering.

The new scheme was launched to staff at both Warrington and Halton hospital locations through benefits roadshows and a series of internal promotions, posters and e-mailers. So far uptake of the scheme has been ‘extremely positive’, said Tusker.
