Tusker named as sole supplier on new salary sacrifice framework

Tusker has been named as the sole supplier on a recently launched nationwide procurement framework for car salary sacrifice.

Car and money

The move means public sector bodies can access Tusker’s car salary sacrifice scheme without the need to conduct their own tenders

Developed by Leicester City Council, the Salary Sacrifice Cars and Associated Services Framework is now available to over 70 councils and 40 NHS Trusts, as well as multiple fire and rescue services and police forces.

Tusker has been added to the scheme following a full OJEU tender exercise, which means that public sector bodies can directly access the firm’s Car Benefit Scheme in full compliance with the Public Contract Regulations, 2015,

Cory Laywood, corporate payments manager, said: “All of the applicants were assessed on their technical and professional ability, previous track record of delivering similar contracts and on their financial stability. Tusker were the clear winners on all counts.

“As the framework terms have been signed to govern the hire agreements, there is no need for organisations to conduct their own tenders internally, reducing the administration required prior to setting up the scheme. There is also no cost to access the framework or the Car Benefit Scheme, ensuring it is accessible for all organisations to offer to their staff.”
