Toyota has introduced upgrades across its range of Proace medium-duty vans and Proace Verso MPVs, with ‘Smart Cargo’ now a standard feature on all versions. Proace Verso also gets satellite navigation and rear parking sensors as part of the MY21 revisions, which go on sale from mid-September with first customer deliveries expected from October.

Proace Verso and Combi

The nine-seat MY21 Proace Verso Shuttle gets sat nav as standard, which means the feature is standard across the people carrying range. Meanwhile, the eight-seat Family grade model now gets rear parking sensors as standard too.

The Proace Combi now benefits from air conditioning and a new dark grey seat trim as standard.

Smart Cargo as standard

The Smart Cargo system was already standard on most Proace models, but now also comes with the entry-level Proace Active model. The system combines a load-through opening in the front bulkhead and a lift/folding function on the front passenger seat, to extend the maximum load length by 1,162mm and increase the van’s overall load volume by half a cubic metre.

The system also introduces an arm rest for the driver and passenger, adjustable lumbar support on the driver’s seat and a fold-out backrest section in the centre passenger seat which can serve as a desktop.

The Active model also gains manual air conditioning and all models now come with an alarm as standard.
