Total Motion introduces Michelin tyre policy across fleet

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Managing Director Simon Hill estimates introducing the joint Michelin and ATS Euromaster policy will result in an annual saving of 16% on tyre costs.

Hill, who manages more than 10,000 vehicles, said: 'We are always looking at ways to improve how we put rubber on the road and the attraction with Michelin and ATS Euromaster was a combination of cost, quality and fuel-saving benefits.

'Our latest analysis demonstrated that using Michelin tyres will add value to the service we provide. We have found their tyres last up to 25% longer than other comparable brands and offer reduced fuel consumption, which saves money for us and our customers, and helps to minimise downtime due to less time spent having worn tyres replaced.

'In addition, tyre labelling is coming in next year and Michelin is at the forefront of that. Once our customers realise they can get additional efficiency and that Michelin is the leading premium brand we are going to get more requests for their tyres. We always respond to driver demand, but this time we are pre-empting it.'

Hill added: 'The experience our customers had with ATS Euromaster during our trial was much better than the service they were getting before with our previous fast-fit provider.

'I was getting regular complaints and that was a contributing factor. With ATS the response time in centres was better, they were more attentive and provided a more personal service.'

He added: 'We are a customer-focused fleet management company. We care about our customers, we like their loyalty and we work really hard to make sure they get what they want. We need suppliers who appreciate that and can deliver those values.'
