The PRO 7100 TRUCK offers route guidance for large vehicles in 45 countries. The route guidance favours major roads, minimises sharp turns and makes allowances for the lower speeds at which trucks typically travel.

In addition, the new device now displays weight- and dimension-related access restrictions for major and interconnecting roads 15 countries, following the addition of data for Denmark, Hungary, and Sweden.

The device is being offered by TomTom Business Solutions, the business unit of TomTom dedicated to commercial vehicle fleets.

The TomTom PRO 7100 TRUCK also has an improved user interface and includes safety features such as restriction warnings, text-to-speech and advanced lane guidance.

The PRO 7100 TRUCK can be used as part of TomTom WORKsmart, which gives transport companies the ability to dispatch jobs while taking real-time data on driving and working hours from the digital tachograph into account and help drive down fuel costs and environmental impact when used in combination with TomTom ecoPLUS.

The new TomTom PRO 7100 TRUCK will be made available during the fourth quarter of 2010 via authorised business partners. Recommended retail price is €399 and £349 (RRP ex VAT).
