The Outside Clinic goes solus for Volvo fleet
Home-visiting optician and hearing specialist, The Outside Clinic, has taken delivery of 34 V40 and V60 models after signing a solus agreement.
The company is based from a head office Swindon, Wiltshire and has over 300 dedicated health care professionals and support personnel.
After holding a joint-manufacturer account with Volvo for the past five years, The Outside Clinic switched to the solus Volvo deal at the end of 2016, which will see approximately 180 of its fleet vehicles replaced with new Volvos over the next three years.
The newly delivered Volvo V40 and V60 models will be used by the company’s team of field professionals and were chosen for their safety technology, includes Volvo’s City Safety system as standard.
Fleet manager Neil Godfrey said: “Technology plays a big part in our business, with our opticians and audiologists carrying the latest in portable digital equipment to people’s homes. Our patients are hugely dependent on our service, so the safety and reliability of our fleet cars is vital. Field staff can cover a lot of miles in all sorts of weather conditions, so the innovative safety technology fitted as standard to the V40 and V60 gives us peace of mind that our employees’ wellbeing is in safe hands.
“We’ve always valued Volvo’s capabilities when it comes to building efficient, reliable, high-quality cars, and with the brand’s stylish new look, it was a natural transition for us to opt for a solus agreement.”
