Thames Water renews Ctrack contract until 2012
Under the deal, Thames Water will utilise Ctrack’s advanced tracking technology on more than 1,400 vans operated by the company’s service engineers for a further two years.
Thames Water appointed Ctrack in 2004 to develop a telematics-based vehicle tracking and fleet management system that would support the company’s ongoing efficiency programme through the optimisation of its fleet operation. The solution was designed to allow Thames Water to increase productivity, reduce overheads and achieve tangible operating efficiencies.
Michelle Nasr, fleet & transport manager at Thames Water, commented: 'The results we have achieved to date have been extremely positive and we are pleased to continue working with Ctrack. We will be looking for even greater improvements in terms of operational benefits with the Ctrack system continuing to form an essential aspect of our overall efficiency programme.'
Tom O’Connor, managing director of Ctrack Ltd, added: 'We are delighted that Thames Water has chosen to renew its contract and continue to work in partnership with Ctrack. This latest agreement underlines the value our tracking solution can provide to fleet operator, and we are committed to delivering further benefits in the future.'
