Telematics could offer 9% fuel savings to fleets
Results of research conducted over the course of 2017 show fuel savings can be attained by using accurate telematics rather than relying on imported fuel card data.
Airmax Remote analysed the research of a full year of fuel data reported by their Airmax Remote Premium Plus product.
The research highlights that a 10,000 vehicle sample, recording 200k miles a year reveals an overall 9.08% improvement, Airmax Remote said, in addition to a 2% improvement per mile (45.52mpg – 46.42mpg) – compared to the average published manufacturer 61.84mpg.
The research based on actual driver behavior statistics concludes that the gap between published manufacturer MPG and actual MPG is 24.49%.
Richard Perham, managing director, Airmax Remote said: “We firmly believe that misuse of company fuel cards and exaggerated mileage claims are set to become a thing of the past. Airmax Remote’s technology delivers complete accuracy and definitive reporting to identify fuel savings for fleet operators.”
