Strong start for ALD ‘Centre-for-a-Day’ sales at BCA

Held on Tuesday 23 June, the event saw the two firms team up to offer 236 hand-picked vehicles, which were pre-sale prepared by BCA and were offered with a V5, Service History and a BCA Assured report. The stock covered a large number of manufacturers and ranging in value from £3,000 upwards.

Competitive bidding resulted in 213 cars being sold on the day, equivalent to a 90% conversion. A total of 160 buyers registered to bid, with online buyers being particularly active.

ALD Automotive remarketing manager Rob Rossiter commented: “This was the first time that ALD have staged a Centre-for-a-Day anywhere, and we were delighted with the result. The response from buyers to this sale underlines the demand for good quality, well-presented stock. We worked closely with the BCA Nottingham team to ensure a broad selection of desirable cars were offered, and we were pleased with the excellent result achieved.”

Phil Kelly, BCA national account manager, added: “With quality stock always at a premium, dealers welcomed the opportunity to purchase from this superb selection of cars offered by ALD Automotive. There is exceptional demand for good quality used cars up to four years old and this sale certainly caught the imagination of our buyers."

ALD Automotive are planning a regular monthly event, with the next two Centre-for-a-Day sales at Nottingham on 28 July and 25 August.
