Speedy has signed an agreement with Fleet Alliance to ensure that its "Speedy Assist" members receive fleet purchase advice and support and a range of fleet management services on fleets of vehicles from one to 500. For those firms that prefer to contract hire their vehicles, Fleet Alliance will provide them with finance through a panel of preferred lenders to select the most competitively priced vehicles.

Speedy Assist members, primarily small businesses, also have access to the full range of products and services that Fleet Alliance provides through its online Fleet 360 facility, including fuel management, competitive tendering, driver check and accident management.

John Byrne, product development director at Speedy, said: 'With Speedy Assist, we are offering our business customers access to services that are generally only available to large businesses and which they would not normally be able to access.

'We wanted to provide our members with first-class fleet management services with outstanding customer service. We spoke with our own fleet manager and the supplier of our company fleet and they both recommended Fleet Alliance.

'We are confident that through Fleet Alliance, Speedy Assist members will receive outstanding customer service, products and solutions when they need to take on vehicles for their fleets and to meet their transport and mobility needs.

'By using Fleet Alliance services and support, our members will be able to reduce their administrative burden, achieve peace of mind and get on with the running of their businesses,' he added.

Speedy Assist offers business customers a range of services aimed at providing help with winning new business, reducing costs and risk, improving speed of payment, cutting back-office burden, becoming more compliant with regulations and keeping up-to-date with changing legislation.

In addition, Speedy Assist members receive special discounts of up to 25% on all hires; helpline assistance with legal, tax, HR and VAT issues; web access to a library of policy documents that members can rebrand and use for their own purposes; and access to discount websites for office equipment and hotels. Membership costs from £18 to £30 a month depending on the number of employees in the business.
