Speedy’s brief was clear: to ensure investment in Masternaut must deliver a measureable difference in the eyes of their customers. First and foremost, implementation needed to deliver improved customer services, improved collection and delivery times in addition to reducing fleet cost.

The Masternaut system, which will be installed across 1,220 of its UK delivery vehicles, will provide Speedy with real-time visibility into its end-to-end fleet operations. This visibility will help Speedy further improve its fleet, increase productivity (for example, through more efficient scheduling) and exceed on customer expectations. The system will also provide comprehensive reporting into driver behaviour, so that more economical driving can be encouraged, to improve fuel economy and reduce carbon emissions.

Fixed Asset director, Alex Trigg, commented: 'For Speedy to invest in Masternaut Telematics, we needed to be absolutely confident that our investment will result in a measurable improvement in customer service and our reliability. Ultimately, it’s our customers who will determine whether this investment has been a success.'

Keith Watson, UK managing director, Masternaut added: 'Speedy Services has built its reputation by reliably servicing some of the most demanding industry sectors and delivering on customer promises. Its fleet is a mobile extension of the company brand, so we’re very proud to supply a solution that will enable its fleet operations to remain nimble and responsive to changing customer needs and requirements.'
