SMH Fleet Solutions scoops RoSPA Gold Award

SMH Fleet Solutions has won a RoSPA Gold award for health and safety performance across its five sites in the UK.

The RoSPA award recognises the work by SMH Fleet Solutions in training all its technicians to ensure they are qualified to work on the latest EV technologies

Established in 1956, the RoSPA Health & Safety Awards benchmark safety performance and enable organisations to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards.

The award recognises the work by SMH Fleet Solutions in training all its technicians to ensure they are qualified to work on the latest EV technologies. Technicians receive an IMI qualification at the end of the course, which provides in-depth knowledge and practical experience in this specialised industry sector. This will then enable vehicle maintenance and repair technicians to continue to work safely on any electric/hybrid vehicle and offer the capability to work on any high-voltage components and systems.

Marcus Walker, group SHEQ manager at SMH Fleet Solutions, commented: “The award is fantastic recognition for the hard work of our teams across the UK. The wellbeing of our people is a priority for the company, and we undertake extensive training and rigorous audits to ensure that standards are exemplary.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, added: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.”
