Smart Fleet Solutions appoints training partner to expand business

Osborne has been tasked with educating and supporting the business’ 400-strong workforce across its eight current sites. He brings a strong background in sales, HR and training, and has worked as an NVQ assessor and corporate trainer in the course of his career.

Having joined the business from ao.com, where he was responsible for delivering soft skills and business training to the company across its nationwide locations, he will now work alongside HR director Sue Bennett.

Osborne said: “Smart Fleet Solutions is a whole new challenge, the business is going through a period of huge growth and it is essential to establish succession routes, career paths and development that complements the successes it is having.

“The role will see me take on overall responsibility to future proof SFS by increasing the skills set within the business, encouraging retention, motivation and high level performance,” he added.

Sue Bennett commented: “2015 has been a huge year for SFS, with the launch of our new HQ in Cheshire and the acquisition of a new Technical Centre in Scotland to add to our other existing sites.

“With that in mind, it is important that we ensure that staff across all sites are trained to a consistent level to enable us to deliver the high levels of service the business prides itself on, thereby supporting future growth.

“Simon has a proven track record of engaging with staff to deliver core messages and training across the board to ensure they fully understand and maintain the excellent reputation we have established and maintained over the past few years,” she added.
