SMA guarantees condition of vehicles under new “Assured” scheme

The scheme uses a windscreen display to tell prospective buyers everything they need to know about a car.

Under the scheme, every SMA assured vehicle undergoes an extensive pre-sale check completed by one of SMA’s vehicle inspectors. The results of the vehicle audit along with all known vehicle heritage details are displayed in a standardised window display, with a 72-hour guarantee that runs from the time of purchase. The same information is also available on-line.

‘Across SMA, we have extensive technical service expertise and a reputation for integrity and transparency. We are using these attributes to provide a new benchmark in terms of condition reporting. The proof of our confidence is in the guarantee issued with every assured vehicle sold,’ noted SMA’s managing director Bob Anderson.

The new product went live on 23rd May at SMA’s Birmingham Centre.
