Škoda Virtual Showroom relocates to team experts’ driveways

Škoda has adapted its Virtual Showroom service to run from team members’ own driveways; ensuring customers researching their next car can still access information on the brand’s latest models.

Each team member has one of the latest Škoda models at home to give people a live online tour

Through 4G capability and video technology, a Škoda product specialist will connect with customers and live stream their model of choice, from the Kamiq to the Superb, Octavia and Karoq, via a mobile, tablet or desktop device. The hosts are also using pre-recorded video footage to demonstrate the rest of the Škoda range.

The service has gone fully remote in the last week and has already handled hundreds of video calls from the safety of their homes.

John French, head of sales operations Škoda UK, commented: “Our dedicated specialists have been quick to adapt to the current environment and we have worked extremely hard to ensure they can continue offering support to our customers when they need it. I’d like to thank these colleagues for opening up their homes to enable us to provide this service to customers.

”We’re here to support in any way we can during these challenging times and more than anything, I hope our customers and their families are keeping safe and well.”

The service is available seven days a week and can be access on the Škoda website by clicking the ‘Live’ pop-up and entering a phone number for an immediate call back or to schedule an appointment.
