Škoda scores place on CCS framework

Škoda has been awarded a place on the new vehicle purchase framework from the Crown Commercial Service (CCS).

Škoda expects to deliver 5,000 vehicles to UK services over the next four years as part of the new agreement

The new agreement replaced the previous RM1070 vehicle purchase framework in December 2018 and covers nine lots, ranging from cars to commercial vehicles and motorcycles, including blue light vehicles.

The updated procurement framework feeds into the #SmarterGov campaign, which aims to make savings and improvements to services across the entire public sector, with users ranging from police and ambulance services to nurses, consultants and lecturers.

Škoda joins 22 other suppliers, including FCA and Ssangyong, in Lot 1 for passenger cars and expects to deliver around 5,000 vehicles to government bodies under the four-year agreement.

Henry Williams, Škoda head of fleet, said: “There is a focus for frontline public services to drive efficiencies for both time and cost. We have worked effectively with government bodies over the past decade to ensure that we meet their requirements and provide a reliable service. I look forward to continuing this partnership over the next four years.”
