Škoda’s fleet market share rose to a record 3.7% in 2017, bucking the market downturn.

Škoda gained a record 3.7% share of the UK fleet market in 2017.

Figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show the brand achieved true fleet sales growth of 7.8% compared to an overall 4.5% decline in the fleet sector last year. The increase puts Škoda in ninth position in the true fleet market for the first time, up from 12th the previous year.

The brand also reported a 6.8% overall fleet growth to 46,524 units.

The increased fleet take-up follows a number of new initiatives in 2017, including the Škoda Live Tour – the brand’s first digital showroom – as well as a dedicated Fleet Customer Service Centre and the launch of a Fleet Service Level Agreement.
