Shell makes first move into supermarket fuel card space with Morrisons tie-up

Shell has signed a fuel card acceptance partnership with Morrisons, marking its first foray into the UK supermarket sector while expanding its network by 10%.

Shell multi-network fuel cards customers can now use their cards at Morrisons filling stations nationwide

The agreement means that Shell multi-network fuel card customers are now able to use their cards at Morrisons filling stations across the UK, bringing the total UK network coverage to more than 3,800 filling stations.

Shell said the partnership reinforces its commitment to improving network acceptance for customers of all fleet types and also follows its recent updates to the Shell Card offering, including the Shell Go+ rewards programme and the new Carbon Offsetting Service.

Sarah Llewelyn, head of fleet solutions UK at Shell, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with Morrisons to launch this network expansion. For our fuel card customers, having access to a network that is conveniently accessible is pivotal to the performance and efficiency of their fleet. Not only does it mean diversions to find a refuelling station should be reduced, but also that drivers can take well-earned rest stops at practical places to recharge for the journey ahead.”
