Selsia auto repairer finds novel way to protect customers during pandemic

Fleet and auto firms are developing innovative ways of working during the coronavirus crisis – as shown by a new initiative from car servicing and repair firm Auto Bodytech.

Gloucestershire-based Auto Bodytech is using the black cab as a way to further protect its customers during service

The Gloucestershire-based firm is one of 200-plus approved accident repair centres across the UK that form the Selsia repair network for fleets, and has started using a black cab as a way to further protect its customers during service.

Once customers have dropped off their vehicles, they can then be returned to their home or office by Auto Bodytech using its London cab.

Introduced to help ensure customer and staff safety by reducing the risk of coronavirus transmission, the cab features a perspex screen that isolates passengers from the driver. It’s also cleaned both before and after each customer has used it.

Simon Harwood, Auto Bodytech managing director, said: “This service, in addition to our Covid-19 pre- and post-work vehicle sanitisation, means that customers feel much safer in the current climate.”
