Kevin Burton, owner of K & B Installations, which specialises in fitted kitchens and bathrooms, entered the commercial vehicle prize draw after test-driving a Volkswagen Crafter from Gilder Van Centre in Sheffield.

The competition was aimed at giving a financial boost to tradesmen and van driver businesses while showcasing the benefits, capabilities and versatility of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ largest vehicle, the Crafter.

The self-employed fitter, who has been in business for over 24 years, is a qualified plumber, electrician and plasterer and an authorised fitter for B&Q.

Speaking of his win, he commented: 'I was completely shocked when I was told I had won. I test-drove the Crafter at Gilder Van Centre, and filled in the entry form and never gave it a second thought.

'The money will go towards upgrading my tools as well as investing in new equipment, which will help make my job easier.'

Simon Elliott, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: 'We were delighted to hand over the prize to Kevin and very pleased that he has chosen Volkswagen for his replacement vehicle.'
