SEAT launches high-value Copa Ibiza and Leon models

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The Copa trim level – which takes its name from the Spanish word for "cup" – offers extra equipment as standard but with no increase in price.

For the Ibiza, the new trim level is launched across all three bodystyles – the 3dr SC, 5dr and the ST estate – in one designation, SE Copa, and with a choice between two of the most popular engines, the 1.4 16V petrol or the 1.2 TDI CR turbodiesel.

As well as the standard SE spec features, it adds: 16-inch "Fabula" alloy wheels (1.4 only), climate control (including refrigerated glovebox), rain and light sensors for automatic wipers and lights, dark tinted rear windows, leather steering wheel and gearknob, auto-dimming rear view mirror and bespoke Copa upholstery. Prices start at £11,995 RRP for the SC version.

For the Leon, the model is available in two distinct new versions: S Copa and SE Copa, with a choice of the 1.2-litre TSI 105 PS turbocharged petrol or the 1.6-litre TDI common rail 105bhp turbodiesel.

The former, based on the entry-level S trim level, adds: Dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity, front seat height and lumbar adjustment, cruise control and bespoke Copa upholstery.

Meanwhile the SE Copa builds on the existing SE trim with: SEAT Media System (with sat nav, 3D mapping, dynamic route guidance, SD card slot, DAB radio tuner and Bluetooth audio streaming connectivity), rear parking sensors, light and rain sensors, auto-dimming rear view mirror and bespoke Copa upholstery.

The Leon S Copa 1.2 TSI is priced at £16,180 RRP, while the Leon SE Copa 1.2 TSI version costs £16,940 RRP.
