Scratch and Dent celebrates a decade of business growth with new technologies

The firm, part of the Hudson Kapel Group, offers a fast, secure and cost-effective method of remarketing vehicles up to two to three years old – in the last 10 years the Scratch and Dent facility has notched up the sale of over 27,000 vehicles.

Since its inception, the company has maintained an expansion programme in the UK, with customers representing leading daily rental, contract hire and leasing companies plus financial institutions.

The last 10 years have seen the firm continue to add more customers as well as improve and innovate its services, with the most recent development being changes to the website configuration to provide greater flexibility for buyers to access their accounts, view vehicles and make bids conveniently from their desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone.

The latest technologies are also being utilised at the company’s site in Bedfordshire including providing free wi-fi access, which not only assists buyers in making bids but also allows them to keep in touch with their businesses. Sales take place every week and registered buyers are able to log in to the website to view details of the vehicles and then submit “sealed” bids online up to 1pm on the closing day – normally a Wednesday.
