Scottish Borders Housing Association add NAVMAN Wireless to fleet

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

SBHA, which serves communities in the Scottish Borders by providing affordable homes, has installed Navman Wireless technology in a 64 strong fleet of maintenance vehicles.

Julia Mulloy, chief executive, SBHA, said: ‘expertise, industry experience and proven track record amongst social housing providers were important factors in SBHA’s decision.

‘Vehicle tracking offers a number of benefits that support our goal of delivering the highest level of service to tenants. Streamlined routing will cut fuel costs and improve job allocation while the ability to monitor our fleet in real time will help us meet our duty of care responsibilities to staff.

‘The system will also contribute towards reduction of carbon emissions, on which we place great importance as an organisation.’

Steve Blackburn, European vice president, Navman Wireless, said: ‘We’re proud to be helping another housing association reap the benefits of vehicle tracking. Our system will enable SBHA to optimise the use of its resources and deliver an enhanced service to all.’

The new contract is the latest success for Navman Wireless in the social housing sector. SBHA joins existing clients such as Trafford Housing Trust and Community Building Services (CBS) Ltd, a repair services provider for housing association and local authority clients across the UK.
