Saab prices stabilising
Prestige car editor Richard Crosthwaite said: ‘Values certainly fell at the time when the market was assuming worst case scenario, perhaps between 5-10% in a six to eight week period. However since then the market came to realise that, firstly Saab product represents fantastic value for money and secondly, values were not going to fall off a cliff and hence support was found.’
Mr Crosthwaite said the pick of the bunch are Vector Sport variants and 2.0 aero models, with 9-3 Saloon and SportWagon generally performing well and 9-5 estates outperforming 9-5 saloon variants.
Cabriolets are also finding favour as seasonality kicks in.
He continued: ‘Demand is weakest for the very late plate and three-year-old de-fleets as they would be for any manufacturer, however outside of this values and demand are healthy.
‘Going forward I’m expecting Saab values to perform broadly in line with the general market and at their current price point they represent solid value for money.’
