Report shows influence of time pressure on driver stress and crashes

A new white paper showing why time pressure is a key issue for fleet managers to address is now available on free download.

The report explains the effects of time pressure on stress and performance

Written by Dr Lisa Dorn, research director at road risk management specialist DriverMetrics, the report shows how time pressure influences driver behaviour at work and the relationship between time pressure, driver stress, performance and crashes.

It also provides a series of recommendations to enable fleet managers to more effectively mitigate time pressure risk from a behavioural and organisational perspective.

These include ensuring drivers understand that safety takes priority, as part of induction and ongoing training, and making sure they take breaks, even when under pressure and especially on long journeys.

The paper is now available via free download on the DriverMetrics website.
