Renault Twingo gains EDC transmission option

Now available across the majority of the carmaker’s range, the EDC is a dual-clutch automatic transmission and brings fast shift times as well as ‘creep’ control for crawling traffic and Hill Start Assist as standard.

On the Twingo the EDC is offered in Dynamique TCe90 and Dynamique S TCe90 versions, which are available for £900 more than the equivalent manual version.

Twingo EDC models are priced from £12,595 and are available to order now, with first deliveries from January.

Changes have also been made to the Twingo’s specification, with six-spoke 15-inch inch alloy wheels becoming standard on the Dynamique trim, replacing the previous 15-inch design. Customers will also be able to choose from the option of having extra-tinted rear windows on Dynamique and Dynamique S trim levels.
