Renault ends production of Fluence Z.E. electric car

By / 10 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The car had been developed with battery swap technology in mind, and a version compatible with Isreaeli company Better Place’s swap stations was available in Israel and Denmark, the biggest markets for the Fluence Z.E.

However, Better Place filed for liquidation last May, six years after it was established, saying it had failed to raise additional funds and resources to continue operating.

The Fluence Z.E. will continue to be manufactured in Busan, South Korea, as the Renault-Samsung SM3 EV, and production of the conventionally powered Fluence will continue in Turkey alongside the Megane.
