Renault Captur gains higher-powered diesel

The 1.5-litre dCi 110 unit produces 108bhp and 192lb.ft of torque, an increase of 20bhp and 30lb.ft over the dCi 90 unit, yet still offers up to 76.4mpg and emissions as low as 98 g/km, thanks in part to Stop & Start technology – equating to zero road tax. This compares to 76.4mpg and 95g/km for the lower-powered engine.

The Euro 6 compliant dCi 110 engine will be available to order on Dynamique, Dynamique S and Signature versions of Captur from 1 April, with prices starting at £17,695 for the Captur Dynamique dCi 110.

Dynamique versions of Captur come as standard with the MediaNav system including a seven-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation and multimedia connectivity, 17-inch silver alloys and automatic climate control. Dynamique S adds rear parking sensors, 17-inch two-tone alloys and electrically operated, folding and heated mirrors.

The recently introduced top-of-the-range Signature trim adds the R-Link Multimedia system with TomTom LIVE satellite navigation, Grip Xtend advanced traction control, an uprated 4x35W Arkamys sound system, rear parking camera and leather upholstery.

The Captur range starts from £14,295 OTR.
