Renault Captur dCi 90 gets EDC automatic option

Renault has augmented its recently facelifted Captur crossover with the addition of a new engine and transmission combination.

Renault's facelifted Captur

Renault’s facelifted Captur gets a new engine/transmission combination.

Already available with a manual gearbox, the 1.5-litre dCi 90 now gets the EDC six-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission that’s widely available across Renault’s car line-up – including on the TCe 120 engine for the Captur – and is also now being offered on the Kangoo van.

Available across the trim line-up, the new combination brings CO2 emissions from 101g/km and official combined fuel economy of 72.4mpg (NEDC). This compares to 95g/km and 78.5mpg for the manual dCi 90.

Prices for the Captur dCi 90 EDC start from £20,125 compared to £18,825 for the manual. Ordering is now open with customer deliveries to start from this month. For more of the latest industry news, click here.
