Renault appoints new head of fleet for UK
Mark Hawkins has become the new fleet chief at Groupe Renault UK as Mark Dickens moves to head up the carmaker’s EV charging solutions offshoot.
Under the changes, part of a series of senior personnel appointments designed to help the group follow the Renaulution strategy announced earlier this year, Mark Dickens will put his extensive fleet experience to effect in his new role of UK managing director for Elexent. The subsidiary firm launched in summer 2020, dedicated to providing companies with turnkey, tailor-made EV charging solutions.
In turn, Mark Hawkins now becomes responsible for the fleet department at Groupe Renault UK.
Hawkins moves to the new role from his previous position of head of dealer network development & performance and brings nearly 30 years of experience. This includes five years as head of business sales Pro+ and two years spent as sales director for Renault Australia.
Other new senior personnel appointments, all effective from 1 April, also help advance the Renaultution strategy, under which Groupe Renault is divided into four separate business units: Renault, Dacia, Alpine and Mobilize.
Adam Wood takes on the role of brand director for Dacia, while Louise O’Sullivan becomes marketing director. Tim Marriott is appointed sales director, moving from his previous role of after sales director, while Mark Thomason is promoted to quality & services director, taking responsibility for customer experience and after sales. Finally, Maxine Bonwick joins as HR director.
Vincent Tourette, managing director, Groupe Renault UK, said: “As per the Renaultution strategy, our brands are now entering into a new phase which is designed to secure our long-term plans for growth and provide our customers with sustainable mobility solutions that are both innovative and affordable. These key personnel changes will help our UK operation to deliver what is expected of us in the future, with those appointed to the roles having vast automotive industry experience and many having already been with Groupe Renault UK for upwards of a decade.”
